Friday, 5th February
It was a perfect day for choosing your doing and what you wanted to learn.Four of our students left for a morning session in the forest with Kati.
The other half of the class stayed inside with Piia
- willing to catch some speed in Math and do some writing.
Math had also something very nice to offer: Times tables with 4 already!

First to the forest square-meter-spots to check some facts and make documentation of the regular data:
- snow hight, temperature and weather circumstances
- pictures, measurements and nature notices
Can you feel the ice? |
Callum's forest spot and his pictures. |
Our forest looked very icy,
there was some fog and frozen rain coming down to cover the little snow, which you still could find.
It was time to move on:
We wanted to check how far is the sight from the top of the hill. |
Callum is almost there! |
On top of the hill by the Vesitorni on a rainy misty morning in February 2017. |
We visited last year about one month later
exactly the same top spot of the hill,
we considered the difference was huge.
What do you think?
It has been a very mild and partly far too warm winter so far. We are also worried about it and do our best to take good care of our planet.
Here is a recommendable and reliable link for further information about the climate change issue:

The only sign we could find on the snow belonged to a squirrel.
On top of the hill by Vesitorni on a sunny bright Morning in March 2016. |
See you next time! |
Take good care! |
